Bruce Lee Undercover - WIP Update. ArtRage - Surface Pro 3

Second update for the day as I decided to go back to the piece after a break for a couple of hours. I started sketching out a police precinct to add depth to the piece.

African American Illustrators - Indesign on Surface Pro 3 - Sketchbook Pro and ArtFlow on Nexus 7 (2013)

Every artist has heard this at one time or another, "You're not the right fit." In some cases this is true. But in other cases, it's suspect, especially when the work of the artist clearly shows that they are more than capable of handling the responsibilities of the position with the experience to back it up. This happened to me recently when I received an email from a company that stated "You're not the right fit" as I was talking with my father. I showed him my work and compared it to the company's work. My portfolio is as good in some areas, clearly better in others but it was never worse. My father's first questions to me after seeing the company's work were, "Is THAT what they do? Why would you want to work for them?" and then "You can't be surprised. This has nothing to do about your work but has everything to do about you or what you're not."

Peace Beyond Passion - Sketchbook Pro for Android - Nexus 7 (2012)

"Peace Beyond Passion" from a photo reference. I was listening to the Meshell Ndegeocello album of the same name when I started working on this.

Nom Nom Android. Custom Android Icon for Android phones created using ArtFlow and InkScape.

01/20/2016 - Nom Nom Android update. I placed the icon on my Nexus 6P's launcher screen for testing. I had to change the eyes because the original design was hard to see. I was hoping I could get away with it without increasing the line weight but, no dice. Even with a 2560x1440 screen resolution at 518 points per inch. But the icon is working. I added the two images below to give examples. I use a live wallpaper as my backdrop and the icon still shows well even with the fish floating around, the water effects, the lighting, the camera panning and the shark which swims into the camera, taking up most of the screen at times.

Vector Art. Testing InkScape and Sketchbook Ink - Surface Pro 3 - Nexus 9

01/14/2015 - This is going to take a long time to finish, but here's an update. Now that I'm getting accustomed to the learning curve, InkScape is proving to be a really great application. I'm shocked that it's free.
